My Turn

Andy is visiting Q for a couple of days, peeking in on his full-grown adult life working the ranch, driving the tractor, building the fences, chasing the cows, caring for guests, and leading worship.

Andy is recovering from complications of hand surgery and is not supposed to play the guitar right now. He did his best to hold back.

But it's indicative of this season of life.

We are falling to the background. We aren't really parenting anymore. We are alongside fully grown men and women.

We are letting them lead the way. Watching in wonder. And finding our rightful place in the shadows.
