Initial Review

In anticipation of the arrival of our first grandbaby, people would ask how I was feeling about it.

The answer was, "Look. There are so many things going on right now, I don't know. This is going to be a game-time revelation. Stay tuned."

So hours after her safe arrival at the birthing center, the new little family arrived home. Dawson texted me and said, "OK. Come now."

I drove faster than is protocol for me.

I walked in the door and she was still in her car seat. They said they were waiting for me.

I walked over to her and said, "Are you kidding me??"

And started crying.

She is the most perfect, most beautiful being I have ever seen.

I lifted her out and into my arms.

It is ALL the wonder.

It is ALL the love.

And none of the responsibility.

We get to just marvel. Just behold. Just champion. Just support. Just love her.

Are you kidding me??

This is the best thing ever.
